Mr Alastair Windsor on Colorectal Diseases and Prevention [Juicy Bits]

Alastair Windsor is a specialist colorectal surgeon in London, head of the abdominal wall unit at UCLH and a founder member of Surgical European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation. A committed surgical trainer and educator he has over one hundred and fifty publications and book chapters.

He runs a significant tertiary referral practice in intestinal failure which focuses on the management of abdominal catastrophe, including the management of enterocutaneous fistula and complex inflammatory bowel disease as well as the treatment of abdominal wall hernias. Widely regarded as a leader in the field of colorectal disease, Alastair also maintains a busy clinical practice in the broader aspects of colorectal surgery including minimal access surgery, endoscopy (colonoscopy), colorectal cancer, Crohn’s and Colitis, diverticular disease, prolapse and incontinence, IBS and proctology.
